Our highly participative Young Artist Series continues throughout Thursday’s in May (19th and 26th). Free to attend in-person, or live-stream on the JazzInToronto Facebook page. This series proudly features music students from Humber College, University of Toronto and York University.
Thursday, May 19: Daniel Bado’s Organ Group
Daniel Bado (Ig: @daniel.bado/danielbado.com) is a high-demand, Toronto-based, jazz guitarist, composer, and educator. He graduated from York University’s Jazz Program in October 2019 with a B.F.A., Honours Spec. Music. He has studied privately under world renowned jazz guitarists, Roy Patterson, and Lorne Lofsky. Daniel also studied jazz composition under esteemed Canadian composer and drummer, Barry Elmes.
Daniel’s Organ Group will be composed of: Evan Little (organ), David Hodgson (alto & tenor sax), Davis O’Donnell (drums).
The 7pm concerts, are followed by the 8:15pm jam sessions – open to all young musicians. Also, in support of concert artists, a Pay-What-You-Can tip-jar will be available to the in person audience. We highly encourage you to conrtibute.
Since our series debut in February, our evenings have been an ABSO BLAST!!!
