Join us for a night to remember!
To kick the night off, a young local Guelph group called Funkdivide. Whether it’s jamming to Herbie Hancock’s Watermelon Man, or grooving on some Dennis Chambers, Funkdivide offers a show of amazing music. Carlan Pulkkinen on drums, Josh Collesso on bass, Marc Mongrain on keys and Jakob Durst on sax.
Next up is Must Stash Hat, an up-and-coming three piece Toronto-based jam band (Matt Berman: guitar/vocals, Rich Itzkovitch: bass/vocals, Codi Maki: drums/vocals). They’ll take you from an upbeat rocking chorus into a jazzy and relaxing hypnotic refrain, keeping you moving and wanting more. Their talent for improvisation is powerful! These moustache men know each other too well to miss a beat.
Finally, with influences like Weather Report, Head Hunters, Yellowjackets, Chick Corea Elektric Band, Tribal Tech, and Brecker Brothers, we present Standard Fusion Company (Jason Raso – bass, Ted Warren – drums, Adrean Farrugia – keyboards, Robb Cappelletto – guitar). A Guelph band performing first in 1976, this quartet has come storming back to share their supreme technical skill in Jazz Fusion. Don’t miss it!
