Live to Air with David Clayton-Thomas
March 20, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
UPDATE: This event is now fully booked. Many thanks to everyone who made donations.
David Clayton-Thomas remains one of the most recognized voices in music.
The Grammy Award-winning singer stormed onto the international music scene as the leader of Blood, Sweat & Tears. Over the course of a career spanning more than half a century, he has lost none of the attributes that have made him one of the greatest vocalists of his generation.
In support of his forthcoming album Say Somethin’, David Clayton-Thomas will bring that fiery, unmistakable voice to a small, exclusive audience at JAZZ.FM91 for a Live to Air concert experience on Friday, March 20 — the day the new album drops.
Clayton-Thomas will be backed by a heavy-hitting band featuring pianist Lou Pomanti, guitarist Eric St. Laurent, bassist Marc Rogers and drummer Steve Heathcote.
Featuring lead singles Never Again and The System, the new record is a 10-track statement in the form of potent music and inspirational songwriting from the legendary artist. In addition, the album confronts many timely issues across today’s social spectrum, including climate change, immigration, and politics.
Fans should expect no less from the multiple award-winning singer and songwriter, who has been honoured with inductions into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Canadian Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and Canada’s Walk of Fame.
