The phrase ‘we lost them way too soon’ is a very human all-about-us kind of thing. When someone who has produced and given so much is lost seemingly in the midst of being, we feel their once upon a time impression of presence deeply. Truly, everyone leaves an impression of importance and significance
and time spent being is the perspective of the individual. There is a sweet spectrum of the diversity of the human essence.
Artists gift us a lens on the world in which we live, play, and try our best to love. Golub’s player personality and his own were both infused with grace. He charmed. In these words of Dave Koz, here’s a sense of how the music was brought to life: “He was a walking essay in contrast. He could tear it up like nobody’s business on guitar, with searing solos that cut you to the core, and then he could make you weep with one sustained note that he’d bend just so.”
It’s all about the impact, it’s all about the impression.
