The Kensington Market Jazz Festival has announced the lineup for its 2023 edition, featuring performances by Robi Botos, Eric St-Laurent, Barbra Lica, Dave Young, Alex Pangman, Lighthouse, Heather Bambrick, Hilario Durán and more.
The festival returns to multiple stages throughout Toronto’s Kensington Market neighbourhood from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.
Run by award-winning jazz vocalist Molly Johnson, the eighth edition of the festival features more than 50 jazz acts performing at a dozen venues, including local bars, restaurants and other businesses along with some performances in Bellevue Square Park and the streets of Kensington Market.
Some of the artists scheduled to perform include Colleen Allen, Elizabeth Shepherd, Billy Newton-Davis, Micah Barnes, Irene Torres, Laura Hubert, Donovan Locke, Jay Douglas, Marc Jordan, Rich Brown, Lauren Falls, Bernie Senensky, Sammy Jackson, Richard Underhill, Lily Frost, Denielle Bassels, Gigi Marentette, Eddie Bullen, Nathan Hiltz, and the JAZZ.FM91 Youth Big Band.
The performances begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, and then continue on Saturday and Sunday between 1 and 11 p.m.
