Manteca has been a pan-cultural jazz mashup since the group started in Toronto in 1979, and the band brought the house down to celebrate their 40th anniversary right here at JAZZ.FM91.

On Monday, November 4, the band played an intimate, interactive concert for an audience of donors in the Long & McQuade Performance Hall, and the Live to Air experience was also broadcast in real-time to our radio audience.

The Juno Award-winning collective draws on musical influences throughout the Americas, creating original compositions and arrangements using the roots of world, jazz and orchestral music. For the past four decades, they have toured the world as Canadian musical ambassadors, bringing audiences an explosive, high-energy show full of joy and exhilaration.
