Every time I hear Ale sing, I want to hear her again.
Every time I hear her again, I hear a new layer that I might have missed the last time. I especially enjoy that there is such an offering of blends of emotional color that demand attention every single time. Now, I realize that I have used the words every time more than a few times in my description of Ale’s singing and it is not lost on me that there is a clear reference to Cole Porter’s, “Ev’rytime We Say Goodbye” song.
Just as Porter’s music tells stories that have the listener hanging on every single nuance of the tale so does Nuñez’s styling of the music she sings. It is a personal offering as she lends us a peek at pieces of her heart and her soul in each song sung. One of Ale’s favorite songs is Duke Ellington and Mack David’s song, “I’m Just A Lucky So And So.” The lyrics are a mini story of a person who is happy to be just the way they are.
We should all be able to be so lucky and truly, we are Lucky So And So’s every time we get to enjoy Ale Nuñez.
