New York-based, Canadian pianist D.D. Jackson celebrates the release of his new album Poetry Project via two incredible shows at Toronto’s historic Redwood Theatre on December 6th & 7th. The recording – which Midwest Book Review and Paris Moves called “stunningly beautiful” and an “extraordinary treasure for poetry and jazz connoisseurs alike” – features five Juno Award-winning performers, including vocalists Laila Biali and Sammy Jackson, who will perform D.D.’s versions of Canadian poems, curated and originally commissioned by Canada’s former Poet Laureate, George Elliott Clarke.
