Based in Toronto, Vania (Tsz Ching) Lee is a drummer/arranger who is currently in her third year of the Bachelor of Music program at Humber College.

While at Humber, Vania has studied with many respected musicians including the likes of Juno nominees Mark Kelso, Nancy Walker and Rich Brown. She has also studied with other well-known players/teachers such as Paul DeLong, Barry Romberg, Max Senitt, Kieran Overs and Jorge Luis “Papiosco” Torres. In 2017, while still in her first year at the college, Vania was the proud recipient of the Just Drums Scholarship Award.

Outside of the Humber community, she was also a member of the 2019 TD Toronto Jazz Musician intensive, where she played alongside Virginia McDonald under the guidance of Canadian jazz pianist Nancy Walker. That same year, Vania also performed on CBC Music for their First Play Live series with R&B group TRP.P.

With her strong versatility on the drum set and experience in genres spanning from jazz to funk to R&B, Vania has become an actively sought-out drummer in the Toronto music scene.
