Alastair Angus is Chief Information Officer at CIBC Mellon. In this role, he leads the firm’s technology, data, and artificial intelligence strategies, helping drive innovation and transformation in CIBC Mellon’s services for institutional clients.

Alastair’s career spans major technology roles in several areas of financial services, across Canada, the U.K., and the U.S, for leading institutions such as CPP Investments, HSBC, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley. Most recently, Alastair served as Interim CIO at an AI-focused capital markets fin-tech, where he helped bring its first product to market.

Alastair has a lifelong passion for radio, participating on-air and technical roles at student- and local commercial radio in the UK. His love of Jazz started at an early age, and Alastair’s appreciation for the artform has grown through decades of listenership to JAZZ.FM91
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Computer Science & Electronics from the University of Edinburgh.
