Spencer Duncan-Dorton is a Toronto-based keyboardist active in the local jazz and indie scenes. He is in his third year of music studies at York University, where he is a recipient of the Oscar Peterson scholarship. While at York, Spencer has honed his musical voice while studying under leading Jazz pianists such as Robi Botos and Noam Lemish. As a performer, Spencer regularly plays jazz gigs around Toronto both as a leader and as a sideman. In addition to his jazz work, Spencer is a member of the indie-pop band Meteor Heist, with whom he has recorded and performed at numerous venues and festivals across Ontario including the Summerfolk Festival, the Horseshoe tavern, and the Velvet Underground.
