Simone Hope is a 21-year-old vocalist and songwriter from Toronto, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music at Humber Polytechnic. Finding inspiration from a wide array of musical influences, Simone is known for her ability to weave between and blur the lines of genre. Simone recently received the SOCAN Young Canadian Songwriter award for her debut single “in and out of you.” With simple stripped back instrumentation and complex vocal harmonies, Simone displays a vulnerability and depth within her performance. Pulling from her musical experiences with Soul, R&B, Jazz and genres from other countries and cultures, Simone’s musicianship is ever evolving. Simone performs in a multitude of musical
contexts throughout Toronto, continuing to learn and contribute to the music scene.
