Samara Joy to release live EP Live at the Blue Note L.A.

Samara Joy has announced her first live release, Live At the Blue Note L.A., coming out on October 23 on Verve Records. The EP was recorded during Joy’s sold-out run at the Blue Note Los Angeles with her septet back in April.

Live At the Blue Note L.A. is the follow-up to Joy’s third album, Portrait, which won a GRAMMY for Best Vocal Jazz Album, her sixth GRAMMY to date. The EP captures Samara Joy’s extraordinary vocal capabilities in a intimate setting with her septet, who she has been touring with for the past year. Joy is currently embarking on a world tour which includes a stop in Toronto on December 2 at Roy Thomson Hall in which she will perform alongside the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
