Rebecca Hennessy has announced her 10th album Joy Will Find Us.
It’s the follow-up to the Toronto-based trumpeter, vocalist and composer’s 2020
release All the Little Things You Do, delivering a continuation of the story from that recording.
Exploring themes of hope, healing and new life, Joy Will Find Us was recorded a month before her daughter was born, and finished while she was learning how to be a new mom.
Listen to the single “Dandelions” now:
The album was recorded and co-produced at Hennessy’s home studio with her husband, Michael Herring, and award-winning producer and engineer David Travers-Smith.
Hennessy’s band featured bassist Herring, guitarist Kevin Breit and drummers Tim Shia and Dave Clark.

She has performed and recorded with internationally recognized artists including Adele, Ron Sexsmith, Andy Kim, Owen Pallett, Broken Social Scene and Feist.
