This Christmas season, the mood was merry and the groove was cool.
Songs from many of our favourite holiday films were the focus of A Reel Christmas: A Celebration of Holiday Movie Music, the opening event in the 44th annual Sound of Jazz concert series by JAZZ.FM91.
Trombonist and musical director Russ Little led a supergroup of Canada’s finest, with pianist Tom Szczesniak, drummer Brian Barlow, bassist Scott Alexander, saxophonist Michael Stuart, guitarist Ted Quinlan and vocalist Jeff Jones coming together for this spectacular evening of movie music magic.
