Michael Kaeshammer is set to release his 15th studio album, a collection titled Turn It Up that’s brimming with “palpable positivity.”
Described as an “eclectic yet accessible” jazz-based pop album, Turn It Up features eight original songs along with a cover of Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”
Announced last year, the recording is now due out March 1 via Kaeshammer’s new label home Seven. One Starwatch and Sony Music Germany.

The album showcases Kaeshammer’s signature style, blending a range of keyboards — including a Wurlitzer organ and a Rhodes piano — with an ensemble of trumpet, trombone, saxophone, drums, and bass.
“I am a very positive person,” Kaeshammer says. “I really love playing shows and being on-stage. If Turn It Up helps me to do more of that, then I’m all in.”
The album was recorded at Toronto’s Revolution Recording during sessions in May and July of 2022. It was produced by Ron Lopata, who previously worked on two Kaeshammer records: 2009’s Lovelight and 2011’s Kaeshammer.
