Micah Weekes is a well-rounded pianist, producer, and composer performing and working in the Toronto area.
Weekes started his musical journey at the North York Suzuki School of Music, listening to and playing classical pieces from composers such as Bach and Vivaldi. After taking lessons with private teachers for several years, he discovered jazz in 2018 through the Jazz Fm 91 Youth Seminar Band, where he learned more about and fell further in love with this genre.
Micah now continues to study, appreciate, and expand his knowledge on jazz and on music as a whole, as he starts his Bachelor of Music at the University of Toronto in 2022. As the start of his second year approaches, he prepares for the release of his debut album in mid 2023, steadily making progress throughout the school year. He continues to hone his skills in not only jazz performance and composition, but equally in gospel, music production & audio engineering, and classical.
