The Soul Jazz Kollective is a group led by Guitarist Maurice Gordon playing music from the most famous genre of Jazz in the 1960’s. Soul jazz or funky jazz is a subgenre of jazz that incorporates strong influences from hard bop, blues, soul, gospel and rhythm and blues and instrumentation usually includes the organ as made popular by artists such as Jimmy Smith.
Members of this exciting new music group include Brendan Davis on bass, Rickie MacIntosh on keyboards and Jojo Bowden filling in on drums for a recovering Norman Jones.
