Harbourfront Centre’s highly anticipated return to live music is here, and this year, the Music Garden welcomes a new curator, Gregory Oh.
The Summer Music in the Garden concerts take place most Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. at the Toronto Music Garden along the waterfront. It’s an exciting time for live music and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome you back!
The 2022 season features multiple commissions by Harbourfront Centre.
The Plight of Small Wonders: Penderecki String Quartet
Experience a tasting menu of great quartet music from the past 400 years from one of Canada’s most celebrated chamber ensembles, the Penderecki String Quartet. This concert, full of PSQ gems, includes the premiere of acclaimed Toronto composer Alice Ho’s new work The Plight of Small Wonders, the JUNO award-winning Lament in the Trampled Garden by Marjan Mozetich and Krysztof Penderecki’s mercurial final string quartet.
This concert will include a new work by Alice Ho, commissioned by Harbourfront Centre.
