Summer Music in the Garden: Castles in the Sand
- This event has passed.
Harbourfront Centre’s highly anticipated return to live music is here, and this year, the Music Garden welcomes a new curator, Gregory Oh.
The Summer Music in the Garden concerts take place most Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. at the Toronto Music Garden along the waterfront. It’s an exciting time for live music and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome you back!
The 2022 season features multiple commissions by Harbourfront Centre.
Castles in the Sand: Angela Schwarzkopf and Kaili Maimets
Angela Schwarzkopf weaves storytelling and lyricism into the ringing strings of her harp. She will start the program with selections from her Juno Award-winning 2020 classical music album detach, including Kevin Lau’s Castles in the Sand. Schwarzkopf will be joined by the silvery murmurs of flautist Kaili Maimets, with whom she forms The Topaz Duo. They will play selections from their recently released album, lumena.
