JAZZ.FM91 welcomes you to the 46th annual Sound of Jazz Concert Series. For this evening, we’ll celebrate the legendary Archie Alleyne.
Alleyne was best known as an influential drummer for some of the very best including Billie Holiday, Lester Young, Stan Getz and many more. This special evening will feature Kollage, one of Canada’s most important jazz bands born out of the tradition and importance of the Blue Note Records era of the ’50s and ’60s. Joining them will be the incomparable trumpeter Alexis Baro.
