The Next Wave Jazz Series at BSMT254 highlights young up & coming jazz talent in downtown Toronto for those who like to stay ahead of the curve.
July’s instalment brings MOODSET to our stage; a jazz and R&B collaborative project comprised of alumni from UofT’s jazz program.
With Alexa Belgrave on keys, Jacqueline Teh’s vocals, Madeleine Ertel on trumpet, Caleb Klager on bass and Mackenzie Read on drums, MOODSET creates a vibrant atmosphere with a strong emphasis on their original music.
With their own individual blend of jazz-informed techniques, neo-soul influence and memorable melodies, they attract and engage listeners across all genres to be a part of their experience.
