This year The Pilot celebrates its 4th Black History Month. The event is designed to feature Black led jazz groups. In addition, there will be poetry, D.J.’s and a history presentation on the stories of Black Canadian artists.

Jamaican born Maurice is a graduate of the York University BFA program. An accomplished guitarist, Maurice brings his intimate knowledge of Jamaican music in the idiom of SKA to the Pilot. SKA was the precursor to the more popular Jamaican music, REGGAE.
It’s both for listening and dancing, but chances are you will find yourself dancing.
