Live to Air: Caribbean Christmas Mixtape with Joy Lapps & Larnell Lewis

Join us this holiday season for the fifth edition of the Caribbean Christmas Mixtape, a jazz.fm91 Live to Air concert featuring Larnell Lewis, Joy Lapps and special guests.
Joy and Larnell take inspiration from their upbringing as two Canadians born to Afro-Caribbean parents in the 1980s, and the traditions they keep as they nurture their own family. They’ve taken influence from the calypso, zouk, reggae, soul and R&B sounds of their ancestry and blended it with their own modern approaches to jazz and hip-hop. The result is a musical mixtape that’s rich with culture and tradition — just like the one Larnell’s father played for the family every Christmas while preparing their home for the joys of the holiday season.
