Flato Markham Theatre: Stephanie Chou Quintet
Stephanie Chou is a composer, saxophonist, and singer whose work blends Chinese musical heritage with Western jazz and pop into a strikingly original sound. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and festivals across the US and Asia, creating powerful cross-cultural connections. Her acclaimed song cycle Comfort Girl, inspired by the stories of Asian women during WWII, was called “a stunning work” by DownBeat. With projects spanning albums, ballet, and new commissions, Chou continues to push musical boundaries, bridging traditions while telling urgent, deeply human stories through her music.
