Nominated for Broadway World’s Best Cabaret Performance of 2018, The spectacular Charlotte Moore brings her jam-packed “All Sondheim” Show to the Jazz Bistro for one night only with legendary accompanist John Hughes once again at the keys.
Charlotte Moore has been an Icon of Canadian Musical Theatre for exactly forty years, and has recently returned to her first love – Cabaret.
She is a Dora Mavor Moore Award winner (also known at her house as a “Granny”), and has worked across the country in such roles as Mama Rose in “Gypsy”, Fantine in “Les Miserables”, Marilla Cuthbert in “Anne of Green Gables”, and most recently Fraulein Schneider in the thrice extended hit production of “Cabaret” at the Grand Theatre in London.
In fact she spent a season in Robin Phillips’ Grand Theatre Company, and three wonderful seasons at the Shaw Festival, culminating in the unforgettable Jackie Maxwell production of Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along”.
She has several recordings to her credit, including the cast album for “Stan Rogers – A Matter of Heart”, and her two solo CD’s – “Friends of Mine – Songs From Canadian Musicals” and the recent “Long Road Back” (all original material), both available on itunes.
