Laila Biali releases new single Sugar, announces upcoming album
Laila Biali has released a new single called Sugar, building on the momentum from her Juno Award-winning album.
The Toronto-based singer and pianist also announced that her new album Out of Dust will be released on March 27.
Biali’s self-titled album was named vocal jazz album of the year at the 2019 Juno Awards, amid competition that included Diana Panton, Holly Cole and Diana Krall and Tony Bennett.
JAZZ.FM91 named Laila Biali one of the best albums of the 2010s.
Biali has won numerous other awards, and will be honoured as a songwriter at this year’s SOCAN Awards on March 31.
