The Kensington Market Jazz Festival has announced its return to in-person events in 2022, featuring headlining concerts by Jocelyn Gould, Barbra Lica, Jay Douglas, Rebecca Hennessy, the Colleen Allen Trio and more.

The festival returns to multiple stages throughout Toronto’s Kensington Market neighbourhood over the weekend of Oct. 1-2.

Created and run by award-winning jazz vocalist Molly Johnson, the festival features more than 60 jazz acts performing at seven venues, including local bars, restaurants and other businesses along with some performances in Bellevue Square Park and the streets of Kensington Market.

Some of the artists schedule to perform include Emily Steinwall, Quincy Bullen, Lorne Lofsky, Caity Gyorgy, Joanna Majoko, Allison Au, Sammy Jackson, Will Bonness, Eddie Bullen, ES:MO, Thompson Egbo-Egbo, Amanda Martinez, Rich Brown’s New Abeng Quartet, Mike Downes, Jesse Ryan, Laura Fernandez, Pat Collins, Denielle Bassels, Hilario Duran, Robi Botos, Joy Lapps, the Sweet Hots, Havana Ventu and the Toronto All-Star Big Band.

Performances run from at 1 to 11 p.m. each day. There are no advance tickets, only cash at the door.
