JUNO award-winning singer-songwriter  and speaker Kellylee Evans enters a new era of self-reflection with her latest musical effort, Show Love, released on June 21 via Enliven Media. The six-track EP is a self-reflection of Evans as a mother and artist as she looks back on her life journey starting with her childhood and upbringing in Scarborough.

“This is an album of reflecting back on those times both musically but also conceptually,” Evans says in a statement, “Coming to terms with my feelings about growing up wanting to succeed and make my parents proud and my journey to find true love at any costs. This album is me, in all my shame and glory. And if the early feedback is any indication, listeners are finding themselves in these stories as well. The message is universal.”

Produced alongside frequent collaborator Michael Shand, Show Love was created over an 18-month period infusing jazz, soul, funk, R&B and hip-hop, genres that have defined Evans’ unique sound and has cemented her place as one of Canada’s most beloved jazz artists.

In addition to the title track, other standout tracks from the EP include “Holy” and “Now”.
