Jacob James Whitehead, who writes and records music under the alias Jake James White, is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist that specializes in fusing together elements of jazz and electronic music with R&B and hip hop to create a modern mosaic of sound.

Hailing from a small musical family in Bolton, Ont., he started playing piano at a very young age, soon followed by the guitar and saxophone, and at the age of 12 began creating and arranging electronic music on his home computer. Since then, White has released numerous projects under several monikers and has collaborated with various artists through his multifaceted production.

Though largely self-taught, he currently studies music at York University, where he focuses his efforts on sharpening his piano and composition skills to further aid him in his musical journey.
