Jacob Eisen is a Toronto-based guitar player who has been focused in the jazz tradition. He was born and raised in Toronto and has played music since an early age. He is currently in his last year in Humber’s Bachelor of Music program where he has at the pleasure of studying with some of Canada’s premier jazz musicians such as Lorne Lofsky, Trevor Giancola, Jocelyn Gould and Nathan Hiltz. As part of his final year in Humber’s Bachelor of Music program, Eisen is excited to be recording music, including his favourite standards and his own original compositions. Eisen has performed across many of the go to jazz venues around the city playing in various configurations both as a bandleader and as a sideman. His influences include the likes of Ed Bickert, Sonny Rollins, Joel Frahm and Bud Powell.
