Rare video footage of saxophonist Hank Mobley performing in Denmark in 1968 has been posted to YouTube.

It’s claimed to be the only Mobley performance captured on video.

Posted online by Vancouver-based saxophonist, label owner and impresario Cory Weeds, the video was reportedly taken at the Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen as part of a Danish TV show called JazzBeat.

The performance also features pianist Kenny Drew, bassist Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen and drummer Albert “Tootie” Heath.
