Award-winning bassist, composer and producer Justin Gray has made history as the first Canadian nominated for the GRAMMYs’s Best Immersive Audio Album category for his latest album IMMERSED, released on IAN Records. This is the first Canadian nomination in the category’s history.
IMMERSED is a celebration of collaboration and artistic expression, drawing inspiration from jazz, Indian classical, and global music traditions. Composed, recorded, and produced from the ground up for immersive audio, this visual album brings together 38 artists and places the listener at the center of a three-dimensional orchestra.
Mixed and produced in Dolby Atmos and paired with a full-length film, IMMERSED synthesizes original composition, immersive audio production, and visual storytelling to reimagine how music can be experienced.
Gray is nominated as the producer and mixing enginee, but he isn’t the only Canadian nominated for the project. Beloved Canadian jazz producer Drew Jurecka is also nominated as a producer on the project.

IMMERSED is available now on all streaming platforms and wherever music is sold.
