The ninth annual Giving Tuesday is Nov. 30, 2021.
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement taking place each year after Black Friday. Sometimes called the “opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for their favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for Giving Tuesday.
JAZZ.FM91 is a listener-supported radio station and a registered charity, with several programs that support music education in our community and foster the next generations of musicians.
Our community initiatives focus on developing innovative ways to actively engage communities with music. They are supported by musicians, educators and volunteers who dedicate their time to teach and entertain students each year by providing expertise and guidance while creating a positive environment to help participants find their musical confidence and voice.
Thanks to our generous donors and sponsors, each year thousands of enthusiastic participants and emerging artists gain experience in music and broadcasting through programs such as Jazzology, Jazz 4 Kids, the JAZZ.FM91 Youth Big Band, Discover Women in Jazz, and music therapy at St. Michael’s Hospital.
We’re able to do all of this and more thanks to the generous support of you — the listener. In celebration of Giving Tuesday, we hope you’ll take this time to make a new gift or increase your gift so that we can keep making jazz accessible to everyone.
Imagine what else we can accomplish together.
