In a career that spans over 60 years and counting, legendary drummer Terry Clarke dropped by the JAZZ.FM91 studios to chat to Brad Barker about his new album Mosaic, available now via Cornerstone Records. The album was recorded live in Germany in December 2023 and features the MOSAIC quartet consisting of Stefan Bauer (vibes), Matthew Halpin (tenor sax), Matthias Akeo Nowak (bass) and Terry Clarke (drums).
Considered Canada’s greatest jazz drummer, Clarke has worked with the likes of Oscar Peterson, Eddie Daniels, John Handy, Rob McConnell, Jay McShann, Oliver Jones and many more. Clarke, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday on August 20th, spoke about his career and his new quartet MOSAIC.
