Eric Parra is a Toronto-based alto saxophonist recently graduated from York University. He has played in both small and large ensembles for the last few in venues like the Rex, Reids Distillery, and the El Mocambo. He has played with the Toronto All-Star Big Band, the York University Jazz Orchestra, as well as the opportunity to play in the Jazz Musician Intensive Ensemble in 2025. His personal projects include tribute bands to his favourite saxophone players, with the first one for Charlie Parker in 2023, and another for Paul Desmond at in 2025. He has done much work as a side musician among many friends’ projects and gigs as well. Post-graduation, he hopes to one day leave his own mark on the Toronto Jazz scene.
