David Malcolm is a trumpeter, vocalist and bandleader based in Toronto. As a fourth year music student at York University, he learned from and played with some of the city’s best jazz musicians such as Kevin Turcotte, Kelly Jefferson and Lorne Lofsky. David is also grateful to have played with musical legends like Jackie Richardson and Ken Poplowski.

He is the bandleader of the David Malcolm Quintet and the David Malcolm Big Band while also being a member of many different big bands as a lead player including the Toronto All Star Big Band and the York University Jazz Orchestra. David is also delighted to be a member of the York University Oscar Peterson Ensemble. David hopes to continue to share his love of music as his journey continues.
