Catch Monkey House recorded live in concert on Sound of Jazz

This Sunday’s episode of Sound of Jazz features Monkey House’s performance at Hugh’s Room Live, recorded on July 22, 2019, in front of a sold-out crowd on the eve of the band’s latest release, Friday.

For this concert, Emmy Award-winning singer-songwriter and keyboardist Don Breithaupt was joined by core band members Mark Kelso (drums), Pat Kilbride (bass) and Justin Abedin (guitar), along with guests John Johnson (saxophone), William Sperandei (trumpet) and Ian Jutsun (vocals). Celebrating the fifth album by this highly respected combo, it’s a veteran ensemble in full flight, playing their strongest material to date.
