Some of Canada’s finest jazz musicians came together for a phenomenal Live to Air concert last week, offering an evening of great music and storytelling to a delighted audience.

Performing in a rare, intimate showcase at the Long & McQuade Performance Hall here at the JAZZ.FM91 studios, the Canadian Jazz All Stars were formed by world-class artists Guido Basso on flugelhorn, Mike Murley on saxophone, Robi Botos on piano, Heather Bambrick on vocals, Dave Young on bass and Davide Direnzo on drums. These formidable forces are the cream of Canada’s musical crop, with countless awards, distinctions and illustrious performances to their names. They played an impeccable set and each member took time to tell some of the most memorable stories of their trade.
