Angelica Zavala is a Canadian recording, and touring drummer of Honduran descent. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music at Humber Polytechnic. She has studied under Grammy nominated/winning artists Marito Marques and Larnell Lewis. Angelica was the 2021 recipient of the Wragg Family Scholarship, an award presented to a student entering Humber’s music program showing promising potential. In 2023, she was the recipient of the Sabian Cymbals Award.

In 2024, Angelica was selected to be a part of the Intercultural & Creative Music Fellowship, a competitive composition program through Humber Polytechnic’s Centre for Creative Business Innovation that collaborates with the Aga Khan Museum. She has worked with notable artists and musicians such as Hill Kourkoutis, Housewife, JULES IS DEAD and many others. Other projects she has been a part of include Mirvish Productions’ SIX The Musical and The Honey Jam.

Angelica has had the opportunity to play in venues such as the Jazz Bistro, The Rex, TD Music Hall in Massey Hall, Danforth Music Hall, Rose Theatre, Bronson Centre, the Aga Khan Museum and many more. Angelica has played with artists who have opened shows and tours for Protest The Hero, July Talk, and The Warning. Angelica continues to perform regularly within the Toronto music scene across various musical genres. As a young woman in music, she hopes to inspire more young women to pursue music as well. Angelica is an Evans Drumheads and ProMark Drumsticks artist.
