Toronto-based, JUNO nominated vocalist Denielle Bassels returns with a brand new album, It Goes Like This, released on Valentine’s Day this past Friday.
The album is the follow-up to 2023’s Little Bit A’Love, which was nominated for Best Vocal Jazz Album of the Year at the 2024 JUNO awards and Bassels’ third studio album to date.
The album is described as an album that “weaves vivid tales that will transport you to the shadowy allure of a moody speakeasy where anything can happen.”
Produced by Drew Jurecka, Thom McKay and Bassels herself, the album also features Davide DiRenzo on drums, George Koller on bass, Ewen Farncombe on piano and many more. Bassels launched the album with a special album release party on February 13 at DROM Taberna on Queen Street.
It Goes Like This is available now on all streaming platforms and wherever music is sold, including Bandcamp.
