We recently had the opportunity to speak to the legendary singer-songwriter Sananda Maitreya.
Maitreya, who burst on the scene in 1987 as Terence Trent D’Arby with his debut album The Hardline According to Terence Trent D’Arby, joined Ronnie Littlejohn on Gumbo Kitchen to chat about his upbringing, 40+ year career, Sam Cooke comparisons, and his latest recordings of Duke Ellington standards.
Maitreya has released over 25 studio albums to date with his most recent release The Pegasus Project Live, a live version of 2024’s The Pegasus Project: Pegasus & The Swan.
