Taking its name from the word for heart or soul in the Afro-Cuban religion of Santeria, OKAN fuses Afro-Cuban roots with jazz, folk and global rhythms via Brazil and Spain. Leaders Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne are also Juno and Grammy nominees for their compositions and recordings with other Canadian Latin projects. Registration is required.
