#Young Artist Series – Nirvana Sagar at Paupers Pub!
Our highly participative Young Artist Series continues throughout Thursday’s in June (23). Free to attend in-person, or live-stream on the JazzInToronto Facebook page. This series proudly features music students from Humber College, University of Toronto and York University.
Thursday, June 23: Nirvana Sagar (Ig: @Nirvy123)
Nirvana Sagar is a saxoplonist/composer currently attending Humber’s Bachelors of Music Program where in September she will be her last year. Nirvana’s early training was largely seeped in western classical music. Some of her early experiences in jazz were with big bands, where during this time Nirvana joined the Etobicoke Jazz Band where she ultimately won the Judy Reynolds Scholarship Award. In adddition, she has received Sennheiser Music Production Award from Humber this year. Nirvana continues to pursue writing and performing music along with teaching students. The 7pm concerts, are followed by the 8:15pm jam sessions – everyone is welcome! Also, in support of concert artists, a Pay-What-You-Can tip-jar will be available to the in person audience. We highly encourage you to conrtibute.
Since our series debut in February, our evenings have been an ABSO BLAST!!!
