Spencer Devolin

Spencer Devolin is a bass player who is attending his 3rd year at Mohawk college studying under Pat Collins in the applied music program. Spencer is a musician inspired by many different genres including jazz, rock, funk, hip hop, metal and classical. During the course of his life he has had the good fortune of playing alongside countless uniquely authentic musicians. He hails from Haliburton County in central Ontario, attending Haliburton Highlands Secondary School and taking full advantage of their music program and countless music opportunities in the area. Coming from humble beginnings Spencer studied under local musician Stan Russell in Minden where he was first introduced to jazz. Gowing up with a wide range of experiences  Spencer has become a versatile young musician who is both versatile in and inspired by many genre spanning styles.
