JAZZ.FM91 is excited to announce a new addition to our Sunday line-up. Internationally-renowned Amy Sky is joining JAZZ.FM91 as the host of Sky’s the Limit with Amy Sky Sundays from noon to 2pm. Amy will provide her perspective as an accomplished singer, songwriter and producer as listeners unwind during their Sunday afternoons.
“I am honoured to join the JAZZ.FM91 programming and hope listeners will join me as we share Sundays, jazz and life,” says Amy. “As an artist, advocate, wife and mother, I have many stories to share that are entwined with jazz and the creative spirit.”
Amy has released eleven solo albums and has collaborated closely with many other artists, including Olivia Newton-John, Anne Murray and Aaron Neville.
She has won three SOCAN awards and the Smooth Jazz Award for best composition. She has been nominated for three Juno Awards, the International Songwriter’s Award and the Canadian Independent Music Awards.
Amy is active in the community, and has been honoured for her mental health advocacy with awards from CAMH and the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario, and from CRIA for her work on artists’ rights.
Sky’s the Limit with Amy Sky will begin Sunday, December 23 at noon.
JAZZ.FM91 would like to acknowledge the contribution of Heather Bambrick, who recently resigned as host of Sunday Afternoon Jazz, noting “I still look forward to continuing my affiliation with the station through the music I create as a Canadian jazz artist.” Heather will continue to host the 2018/2019 season of Jazzology, Thursdays from 9pm to 10 pm.
