The Royal Conservatory of Music has unveiled 23 classical and jazz concerts for the upcoming season at Koerner Hall.
Among those slated for the 2017-18 season are “The Roots Jazz”, which features a six-concert gumbo of the ingredients of jazz; an all-female piano series with Khatia Buniatishvili, Angela Hewitt, Katia and Marielle Labèque, Beatrice Rana, and Yuja Wang; plus South African jazz instrumentalists Hugh Masekela and Abdullah Ibrahim reunite in A Tribute to the Jazz Epistles.
Mervon Mehta, Executive Director of Performing Arts said the complete details of all their concert series will be announced in early June.
“It is hard to believe that we will be embarking upon Koerner Hall’s 9th concert season this fall … We are excited to share a preview of our classical and jazz events now.”
