Neil Patrick Harris To Host Oscars

He’s hosted the Tony Awards four times, the Emmys twice and now, Neil Patick Harris has been tapped to host the biggest awards show of the all… The Oscars.

Playfully confirming the news through twitter, Harris steps into the role that, last year, was filled by Ellen DeGeneres who scored the biggest ratings for the Oscars since Billy Crystal’s stint in 2004.

“We have known him his entire adult life,” said Oscars Executive Producers Craig Zadan & Neil Meron. “We have watched him explode as a great performer in feature films, television and stage. To work with him on the Oscars is the perfect storm, all of his resources and talent coming together on a global stage.”

The Oscars will be broadcast live from L.A. on February 22, 2015.
