DESCRIPTION:Presented by Ontario Place\nNew this year\, the Vista Eatery has turned into a weekly live music venue for emerging jazz musicians from across Ontario to perform on our waterfront patio! These musicians are students or recent grads from University of Toronto\, York University\, Humber College and Mohawk College. The program will provide these musicians the opportunity to gain experience\, develop their audiences\, network with fellow musicians and industry professionals and perform in one of the few venues in the city that features live jazz music. \nThe program is co-curated and hosted by Robert Missen\, who has had a long and distinguished career in the Canadian performing arts as artist manager\, agent\, producer and promoter. Robert has worked with some of Canada’s most notable performers and has a real passion and ability to nurture and showcase musical talent. \nSo sit back in a muskoka chair and let us provide the entertainment! \nPlease visit the Vista Eatery page for more info\, including location and regular hours of operations. \nThis Sunday: Anthony D’Alessandro Trio\nThe award-winning Anthony D’Alessandro Trio is a swinging piano trio featuring Nick Donovan on drums and Evan Gratham on bass. The Trio was assembled by pianist and bandleader Anthony D’Alessandro\, as a means to pay homage to the rich tradition of the jazz piano trio\, while simultaneously composing new and exciting music audiences of the modern generation can appreciate and enjoy. The Anthony D’Alessandro Trio has performed in many of Ontario’s finest venues and concert series including the Toronto Summer Music Festival\, the Barrie Jazz and Blues Festival\, the Jazz Sudbury Festival\, the Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival\, the Old Mill Toronto’s Year ‘Round Jazz Festival\, the Rex Hotel Jazz and Blues Bar\, the Home Smith Bar\, Heliconian Hall and Lula Lounge.
