He has released over a dozen albums of original vocal\, instrumental\, acoustic and electronic music and worked on countless other recordings in various creative and technical roles. Perri’s curious ear and love of re-invention have resulted in a strikingly diverse catalogue\, exploring intersections of pop\, folk\, jazz\, tropicalia\, improv\, minimalism\, dance and electronic – but unified in their impeccable craftsmanship and unique creative vision.\nSandro will be joined by Blake Howard\, Josh Cole\, Thomas Hammerton\, Nick Zubeck + special guests.\nWEBSITE \nMasahiro Takahashi\nToronto-based Japanese composer-musician Masahiro Takahashi has been crafting gently spellbinding pieces that simultaneously embrace electronic abstraction and a palpable\, even brittle\, humanity. His delicate and evocative landscapes always seem to be illuminated in vibrant magic hour tones as golden synth lines emanate from between soft flickers of acoustic instrumentation. He has released music on an array of labels\, such as Telephone Explosion Records\, Not Not Fun\, Jj Funhouse\, and Slow Editions.\nWEBSITE \nAnne Bourne\nAnne Bourne artist/ composer\, mentor. Seasoned in international intermedia performance\, recording and installation\, Anne creates electroacoustic sound fields from microtonal cello\, voice and field recording. Anne imparts the listening practices and text scores of Pauline Oliveros independently\, and as faculty Center for Deep Listening\, Rensselaer\, NY. Anne’s listening and sounding events and walks engage symbiotic listening and accumulate choral sound fields as peace activism. Chalmers Fellow.\nWEBSITE

SUMMARY:6 Pianos 12 Hands @ Jane Mallett Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Steve Reich and Terry Riley have each had a profound influence on the way we listen to music. The term “minimalism” is often used to characterize their music\, yet the music itself is anything but minimal; incorporating much nuance and subtlety that is maximal in imagination and innovation. \nReich\, described by the New Yorker as “the most original musical thinker of our time”\, recognized early in his career the power of multiple pianos\, none exploited more spectacularly than in his mesmerizing Six Pianos. This seminal work is combined with Terry Riley’s A Rainbow in Curved Air\, itself dating from the same period as Six Pianos. And we feature a reprise of Ristic’s Soundstreams-commissioned work Vivaldi Variations. \nREPERTOIRE\nSteve Reich – Six Pianos\nJulia Wolfe – My Lips From Speaking\nAndré Ristic – Variations on a Theme by A. Vivaldi\nAna Sokolović – Trois Études\nTerry Riley – A Rainbow in Curved Air \nFEATURED PIANISTS:\nStephanie Chua\nGeoffrey Conquer\nSimon Docking\nYounggun Kim\nMidori Koga\nGregory Oh\nWesley Shen
